Do you set up a new account in WHM for each domain or do you use a different strategy to bunch different types of sites in different accounts. What is your reasoning?

I'm moving to a new VPS and I'm wondering if all those separate accounts were really necessary.

When you move to the VPS you just need to make one account and put all your sites under it. You can still assign individual ip's to sites, etc...

The only reason to make more than one account is to have different plans if you are reselling - doing that stuff for yourself is just sorta silly.... UNLESS you've set up a number of different nameservers. I have a dedicated where I have a bunch of nameservers - and ip ranges. I do use different accounts there so I can just automatically have the different ip's or nameservers set up.

I create individual accounts. I sell many of my sites shortly after they go live, and throwing in hosting as an extra is often a selling point -- having it on its own account from the start simplifies the transfer to the new owner, over and above IP-related beneifts mentioned above.
