Sorry if this is old news.

Recently I noticed that one of my competitors has gotten 100s of links from the website Jackson Lewis - A National Workplace Law Firm Basically, any of the attorney profile pages that you go to is stuffed with invisible links. If you view the source code and then search for "meer" you'll see all the links.

I'm really just wondering how they did this and if Google is likely to catch on and penalize them. Is it possible that this whole site is a bullshit? It seems too elaborate. Maybe somebody sold the website or something? Ideas?

This is pretty old stuff - I think Google is adept at catching this kind of invisible text, and will probably de-index the lawyer site once they find it.

I'm not an expert on this though. Call the website owners?

Sites got a good page rank so the links off that site to a related field would be powerful. Google will probably catch on eventually but for now its sure working by the sounds of it. Contact them see if they can add your link.

Site looks clean to me, I don't see any invisible links.

But noone in their right mind puts invisible links, most likely hacked.
