Not new news but I figure I'd share anyways...

Facebook has a stalker app. It shows you the top 5 people who visit your profile...

This sucks for all you ex boyfriend/girlfriend stalkers out there!!!!

Facebook gurus: Anyway around this?

^^ It only calculates it based on who publicly interacts with your profile the most (wall posts, comments, etc.)

Would be great to promote that "Who Searched For You" offer on that app.

adknowledge.com has a good bit of facebook app publishers, might call and ask if that is in their network.

Pretty sure that the only way it shows who visits your profile is if the visitor actually takes action on the widget in the profile such as clicking on it. Otherwise, Facebook has technical limitations in place to prevent app developers from doing exactly this.

no sort of facebook 'stalker' app will ever be allowed again (yes again.. there already was one + it was suspended)... period. it violates a grip of TOS and privacy policy issues....

it's stupid that more social sites don't make it a default feature to show who's visited your profile. they could monetize off the people who don't want to appear like stalkers for a few $'s a month.

Haha i could see that working for them.

Orkut sports this feature since a very long time & even allows you to turn it off.

That's what I thought. The application is bogus and definitely markets itself as something it isn't!
