It appears that IE does not display iframed FB pages if you're logged out (shows everything on the page except the framed content), but from what I can tell they display it fine once you log in. The warning just says it is "not displaying unsecured content" and gives you the option to give it permission to display.

My intent is to send paid FB traffic to the page, so I'm assuming this doesn't matter since the visitors would presumably be logged in or they wouldn't see my ads, or am I missing something?

I figured someone else may have already dealt with this and be able to offer some wisdom.

my guess is that either the host page or the iframed page is not https.

More than likely the host page is not https. Facebook redirects you to https to log in now. No https, no Facebook login page.

Either way they should theoretically already be logged in, but you should always dummy proof it.
