Facebook Fan Page - Anybody monetizing?

Yesterday somebody offered me to sell admin rights to the facebook fan page. The fan page is in the travel niche and currently has 1,100,000 + Fans. The guy who owns it currently sells advertising space and claims to make $2K a month from ad revenues.

Now, I'm sitting here and thinking... I'm spending a significant amount of money with FB, and even though I don't do any travel offers, there must be a way to monetize this puppy better. Anybody had experiences with Fan Pages on Failbook? Would networks have a problem with this type of traffic?

What price tag would you think is reasonable for 1.1 Million Facebook fan audience?
 


1.1 Million Fans and only $2K/mo === FAIL

You should be pulling in more then that but here is the thing, 1.1 Million fans is good and all but how much actual traffic does the fan page get, I know some of my fan pages can have killer amounts of Fans but very low traffic.

Tell him to take screenshots or to make you a temp admin so you can see the traffic and other statistics provided by Facebook yourself.

If he doesn't know how to view these tell him/her to learn there ass from there head and click on the View Insights link under the More.. drop down link.

Then you've got some real data to judge how much things are worth.
