Hi, this is a question about facebook ads but I guess it applies to cpm in general.

Is it best to pause ads during the day if you're on a low budget given that most people viewing are going to be at work/school and thus browsing in ''stealth'' mode? By that I mean they're going straight in straight out to avoid being spotted by their boss, not exactly the state of mind you're going to be clicking ads in.

Brand new to this so apologies if this question is cringeworthy/elementary. Wont be clicking any links posted thats for sure.

the best thing to do is test it. there are campaigns that we see alot higher return on during the day and the ROI drops like crazy once the rush comes after work. Then we have some that are the exact opposite.

Depends on the offer. In general it's true but if you spend a couple of bucks testing it you will know for sure.

It's really worth it to test. If you spend a couple of days testing it during the day then you will know for sure and increase your ROI in the long run. Essentially, it depends on the offer and the demographic you are targeting.
