Do you think it's worth buying a FB account for advertising or is it better to create your own from scratch?

It depends. If you have a profitable business mode I'd say to focus on growing the business and let someone else manage the advertising aspect.
But if you are just starting out and have low budget you will probably need manage it yourself.

It’s better to reach out to professional reputation management agencies, since they already have strong Facebook accounts and know how to use them effectively.
