Some of my friends know that I make a few bucks online, so one day my friend wanted me to explain some of it. I attempted to explain affiliate marketing to him. I've never tried it, but I know the gist of it. And damn I was surprised at what I knew. And somehow he understood all of it. He's arab, and comes from a family that owns several business so he understood some of the jargon such as ROI and some concepts of making money. Although he wasn't necessarily interested in what it was, he was more interested in the money aspects of it. Note that we are both in high school and aren't the type you'd expect to be on the computer, and the type to like business. We don't fit our stereotype (polos + khaki shorts and what not). I just find it interesting how 'kids' (like myself) can be interested in this shit.
Have any of you guys attempted to explain some part of the online world to a friend? Just thought it'd be interesting to try and see what 'outsiders' think of the online world and see how oblivious they are to it.
