Expired hosting account, how long to get rankings back

Hi

As per the title, I let a shared hosting account expire so obviously the 2 small sites on it lost all their rankings.

Restoring the hosting is a simple matter, just curious how long a site that has dropped off the radar then suddenly reappears is treated by search engines.

Do they get quickly restored to their previous positions or somewhere close?

Or, will it get treated like a new site and have to basically start over?

Some feedback from someone with similar experience would be appreciated.

If all the pages are not in the google cache anymore it will be harder.
However there is the theory of "age of links". I once bought domain name, and later realized that sometime ago it was the real site and there were some links build to it - was 3 quality old links total. It was much easier to rank this site comparing to others i was working on in same niche.

1 month is not much - hell it takes longer than that for G to remove 404'd pages from the index. Based on my own experiences your rankings should return.

Yep, thanks, one of the sites is already back at #5 for a term that it previously had #1, only been a couple of days so hopefully it will keep climbing. Will keep an eye out over the next few days/weeks.
