For those of you who purchase expired domains, how do you find them? What is the process for purchasing them? Can you purchase them through a regular registrar like Register.com or Namecheap.com once you find them?

You can use free sites like domainsbot.com to search for expiring and expired domains. After they're deleted, you can use a regular registrar to register them at a regular fee. Before they're deleted, use marketplaces like Godaddy, Namejet, etc. to buy/backorder them. Hope it helps.

Thanks domain educator. That certainly does help. I will check out those sites you shared. I imagine it's harder to secure them after they expired, but more expensive to secure them before they're deleted.

One of my friend Got PR 5 in 40 bucks.... he did through Godaddy auctions....
That's pretty cool, man! I've been watching the auctions since yesterday and it seems the higher PR ones are harder to come by. May I ask what your friend used the site for?

I use domainsbot to check if its available or offer for sale by any third party if the domain name is necessary for me.

I have just replied to someone else in another thread.

Go register yourself an account at Search for Domains with Pagerank at Registercompass

It shows up coming auction or sale for expiring or expired domains. You can call it as drop domain as well. There are tons of gems to be search but beware as there are many people going up for these domains as well. Good luck.
