I decided to expand and move my hosting to a vps from shared hosting. I looked around and decided vps.net seemed like a good deal with a lot of flexibility. I signed up for an account, created my server only to have it not turn on. So I filed a ticket, they fixed it, we were happy.
I set up DNS and it seemed to be having some delays. Well after about 8 hours of propagating I filed yet another ticket. They said it was fixed. I checked from my main PC, nothing. I checked from another PC, nothing. I had a friend try from their house, nothing. Both of my PCs I tried with firefox, chrome, and IE. With my friends PC we tried firefox and IE.
All I got from support was, clear your cache. Well, that obviously doesn't work. After telling them that, they just told me it works on their end and the ISP is slow in propagating.
First of all, wth does my ISP have to do with the DNS. Second, anyone else have bad experiences with vps.net? Considering I have had to file two tickets in less than 24 hours, I am becoming a bit apprehensive. Also, does anyone know if vps.net offers refunds?
