Experience with Product Blogs?

I'm looking to startup a few product blogs - think of those cellphone blogs where they keep you updated on new cellphones. I think I saw http://www.mobileherald.com/ for example, in one WickedFire member's signature. Also, supposedly this site is making six figures a year according to problogger.

Any suggestions on marketing this type of site? Its not exacty something you can share articles for and there aren't a lot of content sites related to my product to trade links with.

Why can't you share articles? Why can't you get links from other sites/blogs?

Actually, you're right. While I still don't see the place for sharing GPS product details, there is no reason that I couldn't write articles on more popular topics and link back to the site.

As far as cellphone blogs go the mobile community is actually pretty big. Lots of blogs to get links from, and a blog carnival too.
