just wondering if anyone can help me with excel formula

convert to

Not sure how many rows of data you have so this might not work too well but assuming that all your data is in a single column (with characters/digits separated by a space), then the first thing you should get friendly with notepad and the find/replace function:

1) Copy data into notepad
2) Run find/replace to swap spaces with tabs
3) Paste the data back into Excel as columns
4) Copy data from columns B and C, and append it to column A

Data -> Text to columns -> Delimited -> Tick "Space" -> Done

Select B1, ctrl+shift+down, ctrl+C, click A1, Ctrl+down, down, ctrl +v

Select c1, ctrl+shift+down, ctrl+C, click A1, Ctrl+down, down, ctrl +v
