I'm tired and don't feel like searching, so I'm asking here. Does eBay allow you to create affiliate links for auctions you start? I've got a friend who has an online store and she just switched from having auctions on her own site to using eBay. She does about 5-10 auctions a day (each auction does between $30-100) and drives a lot of traffic to her site.

I've got an EPN account I've never really used and she said she didn't mind using my url to link to her auctions. But I just wanted to make sure eBay allows it before I do it... I don't want her auctions removed because I found a way to make easy money.
 


Im almost 100% sure they allow that. I remember them sending an email a while ago about it.
 
they used to not allow, then they allowed it, now i'm not entirely sure. from my understanding you can't link to the aff page from the auction - but you can direct them to your "about me" page and have that page push people to your webpage and then from the webpage back to the auctions, now with the aff cookie in place.
 
I couldn't say either way. From personal experience with questionable TOS practices, they do give you a chance to explain if you are already driving them targeted traffic. So, in other words, If they didn't like it, I think they would allow you to stop without jeopardizing her account.

Probably true. A couple weeks ago they emailed me because one of my sites was violating their terms, and they asked me if I could change the site to comply with TOS and then email them back.
 
Yes, you can link to your auctions with your affiliate link. The except is placing your affiliate link on ebay properties (i.e. you cant put your affiliate link within your own listings). They've previously encouraged sellers with their own sites to link to their own listings using an aff link.
