Effect of SSL Cert on QS?

Hey guys,

namecheap offers a free SSL cert for the first year. Would installing it on the domain help give it a higher QS?

Any experience with this?

I remember reading a Diorex post about that like a year ago. Works.

It's all about trust 100%
 
Are there any disadvantages to using an SSL cert? Apart from the cost I mean

It's just that I've rarely seen an LP with an https://
 
Just remember you need a dedicated IP address (not a dedicated server) in order to install an SSL cert.
 
In Google's QS webinar last month they said that the landing page component is a binary value -- either you pass or you don't. Are they lying? Maybe. But they repeated the statement a couple of times.
