E-Cigarettes Suck If You Sit On A Tobacco Board of Directors

I been running around like Nancy Fucking Drew working on all this shit today. If you think my sleuthy journalism is up to snuff, I'd appreciate a digg.

From the article...

FTA:

CNN just put out an article citing a report put out by Virginia Commonwealth University. The article's claim is that e-cigarettes do not put out any of the nicotine they claim to and are generally ineffective as both a way to quit smoking, and a substitution to it. "They are as effective at nicotine delivery as puffing on an unlit cigarette," said Dr. Thomas Eissenberg, at the school's Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies.

The first thing that I think about any study conducted in Virginia is that Virginia is the third-largest tobacco producing state in the United States. They output 1.3B worth of Tobacco every year. It's not that I think the study is bunk, I just think that there are inherent pressures exerted by a place where Tobacco is part of the lifeblood of the economy.

The study was funded by the National Cancer Institute, and they seem to be pretty reputable, but they're just fronting the money, not doing the research. The school was run, until July 1st 2009, by Dr. Eugene Trani, a long time advocate of the tobacco industry. He's such an advocate that he invited the CEO of Phillip Morris to speak at the school's graduation ceremony in 2003. However, Phillip Morris is a big company, they do more than just cigarettes, and like them or not they are in fact legal, and do require business savvy to be in them, or any business, and have it be successful.....Continued

Good shit. I had read the article on CNN a few days ago and I can say with 100% confidence, there is no way ecigs deliver the same amount of nic as hitting an unlit cig.
3 or 4 rips off of this thing and my ears are ringing hahahah.

Dugg.

Your evidence is circumstantial.

So are you saying no one ever went to electric chair on wrong evidence?

I think there is a major anti-e-Cigarette conspiracy going on here and it is our duty to fully inform and educate the public about it!

You guys know Im the last guy to put on the tinfoil hat. Ever.

But out of the 200 universities in the states, which one put out the first one on e-cigarettes trashing them? And which one of those has been in bed with the tobacco industry for a while(ie Smoke anywhere on campus but the hospital)?

The fact it's the same one bothers me, and I think they should have disclosed.

you know this world is fucked when a university professor supports the tobacco industry

what I dont understand about people who are corrupted by money in positions where money shouldn't be their motivation, is why they chose that career path in their life. if you money if your motivation, start a business, you'll make way more than any salary-capped career path

Just because it is a conspiracy does not mean it is not true :party-smiley-004: All I am saying is that conspiracies sell.

No it just means they are probably paying for his research. Worse academic malpractice has happened.

That's a bunch of bullshit. Ecigs have helped more people quit smoking, and more effectively, than other other replacement aid. I'm one of these people. Also, check out out this forum (E-Cigarette Forum) for many more people who concur.

The bottom line? Ecigs work. And if they're akin to puffing on an unlit cigarette, even better. That's all the more reason to make them as available as possible for people who want to wean of cigarettes.

let this be the day we can be proud of being affiliate marketers.

think about it- affiliates push just about any product under the sun. if there's industrial extortion being carried out in any space, we'd find out first-hand. we push e-cigs, our offers got pulled, brothers try to figure out why?? and here we have a case of corruption and lobbying right in front of us.

sure, e-cigs were speculated to be forced out by twofaced researchers, pfizer and them for a long time now. today we see the process from beginning to end by ourselves.

Great Work! :)

Even if isn't healthy why should ecigs be banned when real cigs are legal.

You don't need any studies to prove that it's better than a real cigarette.
