How much change does googlebot look for?
I read somewhere on here ( I think ) that as a site was released, they'd watch their access logs for google's bot, and when it came by, they'd change up the text so it was "new and fresh."
I've got an affiliate site going for a product but there's not a whole lot of text on the page. Each page loads a php script that sets up vars and stuff. I have that php script mailing me if/when googlebot shows up in the user agent of the browser (yes, it's not perfect but it's perfect enough ).
So each time I go in and change something about the page. Would you say a 5% change is required? Fifty? Can I switch back and forth between X versions ? ( I could script that, actually ... heeey, actually that's not a bad idea ). What do you guys think?
