Dreamhost bills customers for multiple years

They say that they are going to refund what was charged, but I wonder how they are going to deal with all the overdraft fees that they probably caused for many on small budgets.

That's pretty stupid, but luckily if they refunded the charges correctly those who would have over-drafted because of the screw up, shouldn't get hit with the fee (unless their bank sucks).
 
Yeah.. I had an extra hosting with them.. and for some reason they billed me for the whole year? Yeah.. kinda weird.
 
From personal experience with a local cable company 'correctly refunding' doesn't always happen. Had to shoot off a letter off to the CEO of Comcast and then got into it with his people whom are at the top the customer service chain. In the end I got them to cut me a check (in only a couple days vs the 4-6weeks they where trying to tell me) for what I was overcharged + overdraft fee + promise of hooking me up with a sweet year promo if I use them again. So we'll see.
