Drawing flash game

Some quick questions, does anyone have a rough idea how much a custom drawing game made in flash would cost to have someone develope?

My flash "skills" are basic-intermedite and I haven't touched it in awhile. I'm sure I could get an open source one and tweak it to my needs but chances are it would take me a lot of time I don't have.

I am having a Flash expert put together an online build-your-own-postcard page and I am estimating about $5000.

5000$? ...dude. That's pretty much for me. Isn't there any other methods to create it for a lower price?

It's hard to say without more details on the game. Simple drawing with differently sized/colored brushes should be pretty basic in Flash, but if you're interacting with other players or your server or doing anything else complicated like that, it won't be so cheap/basic.
