If you don't feel like reading basically dude tries to steal money veterans collected from selling poppies. Vets refuse and try tackling him and chase after him, he gets away but still good shit. Did he seriously think it would be that easy? These guys have seen people die in front of them, have probably killed themselves and marched forward as bullets were flying at them. Not to mention they're all old and have nothing to lose. Good choice of targets dumbass.
 


On the list of people you should take very seriously is:

-Anyone who has stared death in the face, seen his/her friends die, and lived to tell the tale.

The vets I know who made it through hell all feel like they are living on borrowed time. They appreciate every second. And if they risk their life and lose trying to stop some thief they'll do it every time. After all - they feel like they've gotten more than most.

Sadly, many of them got less than they deserved.

This was on local news here too, Kingston Rd/Birchmount in Scarborough - memories, spent 23 years in Scarbronx and this shit is not too surprising... Few good bars in that area too (or were).

Hats off indeed to these guys and to the fallen. Hope this lil' thug gets his, we take a lot pride in the poppy run here and every year you hear about some stupid kids pulling crap like this, or politicians trying to tax it, limit it, etc.
 
Hats off to all the vets. My friend's grandfather used to smuggle Allied pilots back to their lines after Partisans sprung them from prison trains. He says one crazy American he smuggled back twice. Imagine the balls on someone who would get into an airplane right after getting shot down, only to be shot down again. Respect.
