Domain Name Question

If a domain has two keywords in it but has an extra "er" or other letters, does it take away from the search engine indexing it as high?

For example, hondaforumsa.com. First, I know this domain sucks but you get the general point. I added an "a" at the end. Does it take away from the keywords "honda" and "forums"?

simple answer: nope

You could register ahondaforum.com and still rank as high for "honda forum" as the domain hondaforum.com

Keywords in domains aren't really important. Inbound links with the right anchor text from authority sites and keyword rich content on your website are way more important!
