ok cool.....

So I have a VGA input on my laptop and a HDMI input.... I connected both monitors....

So I have 2 desktops now......on the new desktop I put a shortcut to firefox and I clicked to open a new browser and when I clicked on it on my new desktop it opened on my old desktop....

how do I fix this or can I?

Can I view firefox on my new second desktop?

Set your display properties to extend the desktop to the 2nd monitor.

USB => DVI adaptors, amazon has them.

What this guy said. Unless you have the proper graphics card in your laptop (Unlikely.) your going to be capped at 2 active monitors. Even a USB adapter is going to cap you at three.

I have one of these myself, and TBH it doesnt get much use. It has problems rendering the latest version of firefox, and buffering video. But it is useful for keeping an extra FTP/Skype window, etc, open.

watching youtube video while you're working, ORLY ;)

I think you will end up watching youtube at the same time as pornhub..

Computer noob question: "How do I hook up two monitors to my laptop?"

Fucking retarded answer: "Go spend $2000-$3000 on a new laptop and another $2000 on displays."

Have some red bricks to go with your Apple faggotry douche.

I'd chip in but I've already used all my neg rep powers for the day...

I just got this today: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005SEZR0G/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01]Amazon.com: AOC E1649FWU 16" USB-Powered Portable LED Monitor - Glossy Black: Computers & Accessories[/ame]

It's a portable dual monitor that's completely USB powered and doesn't need an extra HDMI cable or anything. I just finished setting it up and this thing is so SICK! I'm going to be traveling next week, so this is going to come in handy for multi-tasking on the go.

I use to do it with HDMI cable, connected to TV and then press Ctrl +F4 (on my laptop) you will have few options switching between monitors or choosing both at the same time. Hope it helped.
