I have an ING Direct account but for business accounts it just seems like it's easier to get things down when you go into the branch and talk to the tellers/managers.

Anyone able to run their business completely online in regards to banking?

i use barclays for a lot online but i still have to pay checks in when my customers cant do an electronic transfer

Bank of america for our main joint account, but we use ING for our savings account. I dont know that I could go totally online for all banking.

I run a lot of personal stuff online, but I have a business account with Key. Like you said, it's nice to be able to go into a branch sometimes for this kind of stuff.

What are the requirements for signing up for an online bank account? Can I deposit actual money through a physical branch into the online bank account?

: I'm not 18, (not even 17) and I would like to put up some cash (real live green cash) into my paypal account but I have no bank account and my parents dont know of the money sooo... yeah..

First of all, don't put money in your paypal account. If someone decides to dispute a transaction they freeze your account and you're screwed. If you don't want your parents knowing about the account, well you might have to wait a year until you're 18 depending on where you are.

Online banks are like normal b&m banks, same id requirements for the most part, ssn numbers, etc.

ING is a great bank, I'm thinking of opening an account there.

For now I use HSBC, Chase, Bank of America (just closed it), and soon to open a business checking acct in Wachovia.

I was looking up bank safety ratings a while back, my branch bank was the worst, local bank better, ing direct was rated the best.
