Today I have found an interesting post on my FB wall from Amish Shah about meditation where he explained about how exactly he mediates. I went ahead to his blog and read the entire post about how meditation has affected his life positively and how to meditate.

I'm sure some of you guys here might meditate so lets talk how positively it affected your life.

How To Meditate – 3 Simple Techniques | Amish Shah

To all the lazy guys clicking on the link and reading. Here are steps about how to meditate :-

1. Focus on your breath – sit or lie down in a comfortable and noise-free place and simply focus on your breath… going in and out… inhaling then exhaling. Observe it. Be with it. Enjoy it. That’s all. Yes, there WILL be many thoughts floating around… and that’s totally normal and okay. Do not get discouraged. Just let the thoughts BE and float away. Do not attach yourself to them… shrug them off… and come back to your breath. The breath is so powerful. It’s the second way that we create energy and fuel nutrients in and throughout our body; the first being food. So take deep breaths, and fuel yourself up!

2. Focus on what you’re feeling – sit or lie down in a comfortable and noise-free place and simply focus on being in your body. Do a body scan. Start at your toes and move your focus to each part of your body all the way to the top of your head and just notice, feel, and observe what it feels to really feel being in your physical body! Again, thoughts will come up and that’s okay… don’t judge them… just notice them, let them be, and come back to focusing on what you’re feeling inside. The more you meditate… the more you’ll actually be able to feel energy circulating in your body. Pretty cool.

3. Focus on & observe what you’re actually doing - A third strategy that I like to use when I’m finding it more challenging to calm and control my mind. When I have the “monkey mind,” where thoughts are streams of thoughts are just bouncing every which way, I visualize myself meditating. I picture myself in my mind exactly where I am. Along with being aware of my body, what I’m feeling, and focusing on inhaling and exhaling… I’m sure to obtain a clear mind after meditating for a handful of minutes. I’m keeping my mind busy enough so it can’t go all crazy on me.

IMO, Meditation: continued or extended thought; reflection; contemplation or devout religious contemplation or spiritual introspection. > Transcendental Meditation: a technique, based on ancient Hindu writings, by which one seeks to achieve a relaxed state through regular periods of meditation during which a mantra is repeated.

I have to be honest, the ringing in my ears (from tinnitus) really makes meditation annoying. So, no.

Ahhh... the joys of becoming an old man.

Wow someone actually putting some knowledge to you broke fools and you throw it in the trash. Sad.

Mediation is only a temporily gateway to calming your fucking mind's, I have other methods that require my hands around some soft tender 36 DDD's, and I just close my eyes.

i meditate in the shower with hard water slowly beating against my closed eye lids

it's fun because I think that i'm Daredevil as a kid and see flashes of blue and I dwell into my mental timeflux
