Do you ever get that feeling....

That you might have bitten off more than you can chew?

I've just registered 17 domain names all with a similar theme in the same industry, 5 .nets and 12 .coms. There's even a domain name amongst them that lends itself quite nicely to being an index page for all the others. I've bought them with the intent of developing a network of sites and the income potential I think is quite nice. However, the amount of work I have just given myself is daunting.

I still have a day job and don't get to bed that early as it is with the other web stuff I have on the go, but once I saw these domains available to register, I just had to have them. I've spotted another 13 that would be nice additions to the network as well, but I just couldn't bring myself to get them all. Hopefully, if it looks like it is going to work out then they will still be available.

Oh well, one step at a time....

Just focus on one as the main one to start with - get coming soons on the others and link them off the main domain to get them in the search engines.

Yep, that's what I'm going to do. I already have the design on paper for the main site, which should be fairly easy to put together as it will only really be a single page. After that I'll use templates to throw together all the others. The hard work then comes with putting the content on, so as you say, I'll start off with one and just plough on through. I think I'll aim to get 5 or 6 pages per site of content so that I can link it all together and submit it to the engines and directories and then just gradualy add more and more stuff over time.

Yup, I went on a domain buying spree last year. I didn't do research beforehand so had no idea how I wanted to enter the market. Dropped most of them this year when renewal time came around.

Right now, I'm working on about 10 projects which I'm enjoying because I actually have interest in the subjects.

i feel that way everyday! I have hundreds of domains sitting around doing nothing, but i do have plans for them just not the time.

Maybe some of you guys should sell some domains to support projects where your heat and time are.

Don't just sell the names for the going rates. Set yourself apart.....sell them with the skeleton of a plan (your original ideas for it) and charge more. There's lots of idea challenged people out there that need you!
