How's your gyming and fitness regimes going?
We had a couple threads about transformation and such, which never saw the daylight, but a few if us actually started working out.
I haven't stopped. I started sometime in May June 2012, and plan to continue. I took a 6 month membership and wanted to see if I can last 6 months. I outlasted it. I just renewed my membership for a year.
I have been consistent in going to the Gym but not very consistent with the routines.
Started with very high intensity cardio+weight in the beginning. Burned through 14 KG fat. Then started 5X5... Hurt myself in the back (upper back, and no it wasn't the 5X5 or deadlift..Looks like an injury which showed itself). Stopped doing back for a bit, and switch to a normal 5-6 day split.
Stared doing back and squats couple weeks back. Thanks to 5X5 I can now squat perfectly. Full Squat. ATG. Low Bar.
I gained back 4 Kgs, but I am not too bothered. I have stopped cardo altogether except to warm up or when I kickbox once a week.
Good thing is I am improving on all my lifts. Had I continued my 5X5, I would have lifted way more, but I am still happy with my progress.
I am really enjoying my lifts, and I plan to do a strength program again sometime later. For now I am happy with my 2 body parts a day routine like most body builders do..
For 2013, I have modest goals. Hoping to add an inch to the arms hahaha.
In 2012, I benched 95 Kgs.. Oh somehow I can bench 100 KG on the incline bench. To my surprise, my incline is way better than flat.. Not sure why. I do have good shoulder and good front delts.. But my upper chest is shit...
I incline fly with 25 KG DBs, and can DB press with 35 KGs now..
I started with 5 Kgs 7 months ago.
DL and Squat is still bad.. Because I stopped doing those for 2/3 months. 110 DL and 105 Squats 5RM. Will improve these soon..
One Arm Row is rocking though. I did 15 reps with a 40 KG dumbbell today, Woot. The gym has 40 KG max, so I have have the Gym to place order for bigger ones ...
Doesn't seem like much to some of you but I haven't lifted in my life and I am in my mid 30s
Regarding my Body:
My chest is not at all well formed yet. I can feel a lot of new mass, but I still like I have moobs not due to the nipple but due to my thin upper chest despite my heavier incline benches..
I can now see new Lats, but they also start too high.. I need them lats starting from the waist.. Need to do more cable pull downs and chin ups.. I avoided this due to the back pain for long enough. Have only been doing One arm row and seated cable row.
My back however is getting wider..

I hope I can Bench a 150 KG and Squat and DL 200 KGs before 2013 is up...
