Do you bother about hotlinking?

Do any of you guys get bother about leeches hot-linking from your domains?

Stuff like images and the occasional file or two.

Personally i don't bother to check cause it's too bothersome and i haven't got any major impact on my side. (BTW, i run servers which have a few gigs of images on them)

I check at the end of the month, if someone is hotlinking I block them, but otherwise screw that, they can wait another week. Unless over night I see like 20 GB gone out of the blue

Unless they're raping my Bandwidth, I can't be arsed. When I am arsed I don't tend to do the old porn switcheroo, I substitute the image with a transparent gif at 2000px x 2000px with just my domain name in the middle. It's great when they haven't got the size set in their HTML. It makes me smile at least.

Could I ask how you block them? is it in the .htaccess file? I have somebody hotlinking an image on their MySpace profile but I can't see what image or which profile (unless I'm missing something). In my awstats "Connect to site from" section I see "http:// profile.myspace.com/index.cfm"

LOL, yeah I do the same!

I have a few sites where I had physically gone out and taken the pics myself...and be fucked if anyone is going to hotlink those. But for most sites I cbf
