Do three number .mobi domains have any value? Can I buy them for like $20 to $30 a piece and then sell for like $100 a piece? I have got a friend who wants to sell some of his .mobi domains which are NNN.mobi. Also, Are there any registration restrictions for .mobi domains? Thank you for your replies.

No .mobi has any value.. In the flood of new extensions the value is even less then it was before and even before .mobi was crap..

If you wanna gamble, grab some "premium" keywords in the new extensions.. Those are at least the newest hype while mobi is long gone already..

Thank you for your reply. On DP or other forum I was sent to a link (3Character.com - 3 Character Domain Name Price Guide) when I asked for some information regarding the price of 3 character domains. On that page the NNN.mobi domains were listed at $100. That's why I asked the question.

On my other thread in domain appraisals section you said something like "spend money on more liquid names". Can you explain a bit more as to what you mean by "Liquid Names"? Thank you for your time. I would be waiting for your advice.

Liquid names because of the impending water shortage. So stuff like

WaterHQ.mobi
WetWorld.mobi
MyWaterSite.mobi
etc etc etc

Tons of combinations of liquid names, especially with these new extensions. It's a goldrush.

Liquid domains are LLL.com, LLL.net, LLL.org, NNNN.com, NNN.com.. Stick with .com if possible, if not, spread your reach to .net and .org. Every other extension is pure gambling.

And even in the above mentioned domains make sure that you know the difference between premium letters and non premium before purchasing..

Thank you very much.

Although I've heard of the .mobi TLD extension, I've never owned one, nor have I actually ever visited a website with the .mobi extension. For awhile, there was a little buzza about that extension out there, but apparently not enough. If your .mobi TLD are keyword rich, then you might find someone who wants them. But, just saying they're .mobi, doesn't really add any credibility to what you are selling. Though keyword stuffed domains are not such a huge deal anymore, there will always be webmasters out there, who want that kind of thing. So if you have a TLD with a good keyword, then you could likely sell it for a lot, even if just .mobi; .expert; .guru or .com.

On expired domains there is nearly a full page(24) of available NNN.mobi domains that were dropped and never picked up within this year. With only 1,000 possible options for NNN in that TLD, having at least 24 available does not bode well for their value.

I can tell you that my highest sale of a .mobi this year was $40, and it was a ridiculously good LLL too. If you want to give it a go, hand register a few of them and see if they sell.

Edit: There is at least 40 pages (1000) LLL.mobi domains dropped within this year, with some that are pretty decent LLL's. There's no value in this shit.

I dont see any value for now, but if u buy them for like around 5 to 10 years, then you never know if you start seeing any value for them.
