disappearing PMs

Twice now I have had PMs disappear from my inbox and all traces of the username disappear from WickedFire, why does this happen? I didn't think you could delete your account. Do the mods do it for you? or does it mean that person was probably a spammer?

1- You're hitting this button called Delete...

or

2- You're corresponding with imbeciles who get banned/IP banned, and all of their messages, posts, and threads get nuked. Perhaps you should reconsider whatever it is you're trying to buy or sell here since your pals are getting the 'ol ban hammer.

No problem, that explains it then. I was enquiring about buying but thankfully never followed it through. I'll be more careful in future.
