Go onto any webmaster related forum with a 'buy and sell' section and you will come always come across members advertising their Directory Submission services as well as Article Submission to a number of different websites.
Most of them claim to submit manually, but how can you tell if they havent simply used some software that automatically submits them?
Adverts like: 'Get 2,000,00000 directory submissions for $1' are usually a load of crap. But what about the more legitimate sounding offers? How do you tell? How much of an effect on a website does it have if you use automated software for submission?
