I've been in the digital marketing, SaaS, and e-commerce space for more than a decade now and I'm at this point where I'm already known for my craft and have a formidable roster of clients. Mainly in the consultancy stage now in my career.
Don't get me wrong–I love what I do, it's fulfilling helping both startups, small enterprises, up to even medium and large corporations alike–problem-solving has always been my biggest asset. I love when a company presents me their predicament and I sort of investigate the premise to see what's drawing them back.
I was scrolling through Quora when I saw this forging company. Went on to their website and saw that they needed a little help so I cracked my knuckles and sent them my pitch. I've been looking to expand in the manufacturing niche so I was trying to grow my portfolio in that area.
We couldn't set up a meeting and frankly, our schedules just didn't align, so we ended up not working together. The strangest thing though is I researched more on what they do for business and they were handling aerospace parts and alternative energy too.
I've written dozens of articles about alternative energy because I was a climate change activist back in the day, and it got me wondering about starting my own business about alternative energy.
Now, I know what books and entrepreneurs always say–it's never too late to start, etc etc. I get that, I'm not super old but I'm already what's considered a "senior" position or an expert in my field and it feels like a waste to leave (sunk cost fallacy, I know).
But, I love alternative energy and I know there's still a lot of untapped potential (heh, get it?) surrounding its use.
I'm blabbering to this forum, idk what was the point of my entire post but ok.
