Do you guys work at the weekends, or keep it for non-monies activities?

After I got married, yes... My wife works on saturdays, so I can work whole of saturday. We go out on Sundays, but even on Sundays I prefer to work mostly the mornings, as I wake up early anyway.. We mostly go Shopping, Movies and then a dinner on Sundays.. My productivity have increased manifolds since I got married, so to speak lol

Before marriage I never used to work much on weekends.. Grind all week... Party all weekend, except when I have to work on a new trending topic.. or once when my server crashed and I didn't know how to set it up quickly from the back, and neither did the support.. I was on the phone with the support the whole weekend... Learnt the hard way about back ups...

Nope, weekends are pretty slow for me in terms of traffic so I usually take them off. Although at the moment I'm only working a couple of hrs per day anyway.

Very much so if I'm on a deadline. If things are on schedule, I'll go out on Saturday with the wife and sleep most of Sunday.

Occasionally, used to do 24/7 for 1-2 years before I found shit todo that I loved..

So how big of a loser am I for looking forward to weekends, because that's when I can get the most development work done, since everyone else is off enjoying themselves?

I feel like there has to be a lot of others like me in the IM world who never really know what day of the week it is. I work when I need to or want to. Not much of a schedule to it.

At the moment... all the damn time.

^^ this, and has been since 96 when I got online to make money.

There are times I swear I do not know if its Monday or Saturday. I get spurts of months/weeks/days where I will not work at all and then I get a massive sprint of time I never stop working at all.


I have just over the past couple of weeks started to work weekends 100% and take my downtime off during the week. Generally my schedule now is work 110% Saturday, Sunday, Monday so that everythings flows smooth/fine/easy/clear for Tuesday-Friday where I might work 25% of the time.
