I'm not a big fan of superheroes. Spiderman 2 was awesome. Avengers not so much. X-Men? Meh.

But Daredevil is great. Very gritty. Very violent. And true to the original story (I used to read the comic).

The fight scenes are well choreographed. Below's a clip from episode 2. Don't worry. It doesn't give anything away about the storyline. It's just fun to watch, largely because it shows DD getting really tired.

If you're not watching Daredevil, give it a shot. They've done an impressive job with it. Plus, it's streaming. So you can watch it right now if you don't have anything better to do.

I'm only on episode 4. The series could tank. Buyer beware.

No spoilers please.

Finished my binge a few days ago. Really enjoyed the entire season. Episode 4 is still really early so you'll enjoy what's to come. All the characters they chose were excellent selections.

One of Netflix's better shows. I was expecting too PG13 but it was intense throughout.

Already approved for season 2. I think Netflix hit a homerun with it.

Edit: and yea the whole series is good. Some people didn't like the finale because they said it felt rushed, but I didn't feel that way.

It is a good series, but the amount of beating he takes, he should be dead, way too fake when it comes to taking the amount of punches he takes.

You have a gun? Run towards the martial arts fighter.
I cant watch movies where bad guys with guns are super slow and always run towards the main character instead of just spraying bullets at him from distance.

Can't suspend my disbelief here at how a blind guy can move and fight like that.

What was the incident that destroyed half of NYC? It was mentioned a few times, and the reporter had the story in a picture frame on the wall, but they never really explained what happened. I assumed it might have been something that happened in another comic.

There was only 1 time where it showed what things looked like from his perspective. The producer said they considered doing more:

We had budgeted in seeing it a few more times and we actually had the effect done at least twice more throughout the season, but when we cut it together we felt it took us out of it. We had it once so you know what it is. It felt like if you go to that well too often you’re like, “Oh here we are, we’re in Matt’s special vision again.” We didn’t want it to be that or for that effect to take us out of the crime drama feel. There were two more instances where we did the effect. One was in episode seven with Stick. You were going to see how young Matt saw Stick when he throws Matt the keys, and his senses were all over the place. Then later when he catches the fighting sticks, his senses had been refined. That was a case purely of we hadn’t locked down the effect but we had to lock episode. The effect wasn’t ready in time. The next time you were going to see it was in episode 12 when Matt sees the blinded Chinese worker and registers that he’s been blinded. The last time was at the end of the season when Matt tells Karen that they can do this together. There’s a push in on Karen as she reacts and originally we had planned on doing it there, but when we put the effect in we were losing all the nuances of her expressions and what was going on with her thought process. We ended up taking it out. I never wanted that to become a schtick.

They are also doing a 8-episode miniseries The Defenders, but it is not supposed to be released until after Daredevil Season 2.
