I've done a bit of searching and haven't found a post on this anywhere so I thought I'd share a technique I've just started trialling with some PPC campaigns.

Basically the theory is that you use one landing page with multiple anchors in it, then use CSS and some javascript to highlight the anchor text. Here's the basic steps:
  1. You setup a landing page with anchors in it relating to certain Adwords campaigns. eg <h2 id="campaign1">Attractive Title</h2>
  2. In your Adwords campaign or keyword destination URL you use a link with the anchor http://myaffsite.com/landingpage#campaign1
  3. Now you use a little bit of java script to highlight the anchor with a bit of CSS. (See Fragment Highlight.)
It seems to work pretty well visually on the campaign I've implemented it on, but I can't say I've compared the CTR to a normal campaign. Not sure if using keyword related anchors have an affect on Quality Score either.

Has anyone else tried this?
