Well I finally got my company registered in the UK etc, and my business bank account is all good.

Just wondering what the best credit card is to get in the UK? I'm probably going to get 2 for myself, and probably 2 for my directors / staff etc.

Just not got a clue on who to go with, there's so many out there!

Can't wait to get back on AdWords/AdSense!

Anything that gives your points/cash back? And if your Adwords account is billed in USD, get the Amex IDC.

Thanks for the reply! Are there any benefits with using an Amex IDC (International Dollar Card I take it?) over just any old card?

I won't be using over drafts etc. Just need cards to stick in adwords etc. What card has the best rewards?

Well the IDC is gold if you want to have your Adwords account billed in USD. With most other cards (except the one from the post office) you are paying anywhere from 2-4% in foreign currency charges.

As for rewards, I get 1 point for every dollar spent and I mostly use it for miles (80-100k miles = free first class return trip), which is a nice 2-5% kickback.

First of all, why do you want a credit card? All decent business accounts come with debit cards so why do you want the most expensive form of credit going?

I've had business accounts with several of the major high-street banks in the UK. In short: always go with Barclays, no matter what your company is turning over, their bank managers rock.

Wait what? First of all, an Amex is a charge card, not a credit card. Second, why would I even touch my money, when I can charge it and use Amex' money interest free to profit. Using your debit card for ppc expenses makes no sense whatsoever. And thirdly, Barclays sucks. Been trying to get a bank guarantee setup since February. Finally looks like it might happen next week. So much for awesome managers.

As far as I know, its harder to dispute things when you use a debit card.

Yep, they claim you have the same rights but that's a bunch of bullshit. With a credit card, you're messing with the bank's money so they pay way more attention to it. The merchants pay higher fees to accept credit cards than they do for debits so there is more at stake there too.
