Ok so I've been reading up for weeks on different systems, methods, all that. Basically I've summarized the basic formula to this --> find well searched but low competition niche or microniche; find accompanying product; buy domain(s) for top keywords for that niche, add content (either manually or via scrapebox, YACG, etc) with good Wordpress template; build backlinks, traffic and SEO (on and off site); build site to sell said product; profit?

I've wrapped my head around this. But having hard time deciding which niche to go with. If I go with something I know a lot about/care about (e-cigarettes, car/motorcycle issues, cheap printer ink, etc.), it seems as though it would be easier as I know much more about the content, the market, etc. Personal knowledge ya know?

So is that the direction yall went when starting out? Something you cared for and knew about on a personal level? Or find a random niche and buildup your knowledge about it before making commitments?

I've found some long tailed keywords in my niche with less than 5k competitive hits on google, and between 1k-5k searches a month according to trends. Also gonna try MS and MNF trial copies. What do yall think? Mods delete if this is a waste of a post!

Go with something that really does interest you. If you're in this for the long haul, you're going to spend alot of time crafting and promoting your site. If you're bored with the topic, people will notice - especially when it comes to your content. Pick a niche that you can deal with day in and day out, where you won't get bored or burned out.

^ Completely agree. If it's something worth promoting, you have to be able to sit there and constantly think about the product. If it's too boring or not something interested in, you will get bored and not put your best effort into your site.

Make sure you choose a product you know you will put 100% effort into. If you don't you're wasting your time and money by not using your full capabilities.

Also, look into different paid traffic methods, to get quality traffic fast.

Good luck

Take your obsession and make it your profession, and you will never work a hard day in your life.

;)

Thanks yall. Something between sportbikes, music or comedy stuff. I'll pick something good one one of those. Thanks :)

The difference is:

Use some easy generic niche IF you have the persistence to stick to stuff you don't like. Build a ton of this sites and cash comes.

Sadly 90% of all people don't have this persistence.

If you lack persistence write about something you like BUT expect at least three times longer until you see some bucks.

In the end you can make good monies with both approaches.

Take your obsession and make it your profession, and you will never work a hard day in your life.

That's fuckshit. If your obsession is writing then ya can pick any niche. If ya obsession is something else you will hate it nevertheless if ya writing over something ya like.

Thanks Stefan. I guess I'll focus on generic more then, once some $$$ and I get the better feel of things I can move onto sportbikes or something I personally am involved with. Thanks alL!
