Creating a sales page (need some assistance)

I have an ebook package I am looking to sell. I have a website up already but I want to create a sales/splash/squeeze page that looks more professional.

I have hosting already and I'm wondering if I want to create a splash page what is the best way to do this? Are there templates or programs that are easy to use and professional? Also, if I want to do A/B split tests and create multiple splash pages, how do I do this?

Good thing that you are considering split testing. Have you searched online for any scripts that you can use to do this?

With regards to creating a splash page, how is your coding? Obviously you can use templates, these can be a good starting point, but I think its best that you customize as much as possible. Who knows who else will be using the same template?

Good point. My coding is decent and whatever I need for coding is a simple google search away.

I haven't done any searches for scripts to use for split testing, mostly b/c I didn't know that is how you do it. I figured you'd you subdomains to test the different formats.

Agreed. Use Wordpress, there are plenty of themes available (Profits theme, WPSalesEngine etc).
