Creating a GPT Site -- Need a list of Affiliates

Damn, that hadn't even occured to me... do you have anything automated in place to control that or is it all manual checking? I'd probably have to manually inspect each account that does a prize request which would be a huge pain in the ass if it's really that abundant =/
I have my own ways but really just having intuition is going to be your best fraud prevention tool.

Do you mean 2% of fraud prevention will come from automated fraud checks and 98% will come from manual inspection from the owner? I'm also starting a GPT site and have a good amount of fraud checks in place (custom script) but I'm not sure if it's enough - people everywhere basically just tell me how much fraud there is.

Do you know how advanced the fraudsters are? I have the obvious email and phone verification in place, and then afterwards a few location fraud checks based on the phone's location, the stated location, and the IP location. I'm going the "amazon dollarz" route so nothing will be instant - I can take up to 5 days realistically to process the order after someone has cashed in his or her points. Any thoughts?

98% owner. To me phone verification is a fucking joke and not worth the money or time considering the numerous problems and ways to bypass it. Depending on the script you use, it will filter out most known proxies but misses a lot of them and is not very good at catching the fresh proxies.

And that's just the half of it like jeffrey said. You then having people signing up with complete made up shit or addresses picked from the phone book. You then have them duplicating the same offers on other sites. You then have them using fucking gibberish and bullshit information on the offers they complete. You then have them signing up with multiple accounts doing the same offers again. I could go on and on.

You either don't care and go with the attitude "as long as I get paid" or you spend countless hours combating the shit you can. And it doesn't matter how good you think you are, you will get burned here and there but you will
pick up the numerous patterns and ban the stupid fucks and laugh at their "I didn't do anything, u a scammer" complaints.

EDIT: And I agree with jeffrey when it comes to most of these kiddies starting a gpt site. You have no fucking clue what's involved and think it's gonna be a 'get rich quick scheme' and then you crash and burn and can't even sell it for 1/2 of what you paid for it.

I'm not bashing the ones that want to start one, but good fucking luck.

Yup and believe us both when we say you better take it seriously. I got lax and ended up getting burned by Addrive for xx,xxx.

Thanks a lot for this response. I'm using Telesign for phone verification but mainly for the phoneID on possible location checks for fraud prevention. Seems like a lot of trial and error, am going to try and start small (under 500 active members) to get the hang of things and then expand from there.

Will definitely be giving it my all, looking to make this an established brand. Most of my stuff right now is transparent and unstable.

Well, I, for one, am very glad that I started this thread. I not only got some honest answers from you all, but it made me realize that this wasn't for me. My buddy and I will be placing our money else where.

Thanks again for everyone who responded in here, it is truly much appreciated.

Glad threads like these help people make wise business choices. GPT market is way to saturated and if you haven't been in it for a while it's not something long term.
