So how is this service compared to Google Analytics? Doesn't Analytics do the same thing?

I don't think analytics gives you a heatmap of your site.

While this software looks powerful, I think we need to look at what it actually does in comparison to other tools. It seems to me it's designed and produced to follow the "web2.0" fanboy trend of web apps that look good rather than provide a fair, useful purpose.

Don't get me wrong, the heatmap function is fantastically produced, but it's the only real selling point...because believe me the prices are ridiculous.

Isn't the heat map just basically an overview of which sections of your site are "hot" places for clicks? Just the same as showing you what links are clicked the most correct? Just a different way of displaying it?

Yeah it is, I suspect the scale of clicked areas applies to non-links also. Very clever part of the tool, but still not enough to justify its licensing fees, I think they've strongly under-estimated the traffic that some websites receive.
