A/B Testing
I just did an eval of mine and what they mean to me.

I came up with:

  • Individuality
  • Freedom
  • Trust
  • Simplicity
  • Activeness

Curious if anyone here has gone through this exercise at all and came up with a list?

I used two values from your list, and added 3 of my own. I would say the following values are very important to me:

• Trust - Be reliable. Trust in those who are reliable.
• Simplicity -
• Resourcefulness - Take advantage of everything accessible to you. Find opportunities where there are none.
• Inquisitiveness - Ask questions constantly. Doubt everything.
• Ambition - Never stop hustlin'.

Courage - be brave
Open minded - try new delicious things
Confidence - walk with power
Killer - be a shark in business
Sight - be able to see oportunities

Isn't that pretty difficult to do, especially in today's society?
Very. Very.

But you know, in some countries it's still possible. Czech for example, as far as I could get an impression from my local friends stories and other sources, they don't give a fuck to anything. So you can pretty much do anything you want and say anything you want.

.

-to be better than I was yesterday
-help people that would do the same
-stroke my inner-marketing genius on forums

Made me laugh. My priorities too, maybe in a slightly different order. Actually holding these things in thought also provides me with the motivation to hustle too, otherwise these things could be out of grasp, so to speak.

Giving it some quick thought, mine would likely be:

- Ambition - The grind never stops.
- Discipline - Keep your eye on the goddamn ball.
- Prudence - Don't let your judgement get clouded.
- Open-mindedness - Erase bias and assumptions. Don't be afraid of change.
- Guidance - Seek guidance when your need it; share it with others who genuinely want it.

Do it right or don't do it at all
perfection is not good enough
be willing to work for free
give more than you take
and try to lie less

Live and let live, and treat people how you want to be treated. That's really about it.

EDIT: Oh, and being a cynical asshole isn't a bad thing. Helps keep you on the straight and narrow. :)

survive
help others survive

in the longer run model affirmative values like respect for truth, virtue, laws of the universe, natural laws governing man.

be kind to peasant people because we are all in this together.

I feel like I'm not on that level yet where I should be taking the time out of my day to think about what my core values are.

C ourage - be brave
O pen minded - try new delicious things
C onfidence - walk with power
K iller - be a shark in business
S ight - be able to see oportunities

saw this immediately and laughed
