Hey guys... I've just switched from PC to Mac and I'm trying out all those cool apps that boost your productivity. Plz suggest what apps are you using? I'm mostly interested in "ToDo"s :)

Here is what I have for now:

Cinch - this nice app helps you to manage your windows. You can easily make your app window fullscreen or halfscreen.

Evernote - not sure I can use it as a ToDo or for some GTD practice, but it seems good for keeping notes. (don't have much exp with it)

Circus Ponies NoteBook - seems to be good for taking notes too.. and it seems to have a nice ToDo interface. (don't have exp with it too)

OmniFocus - Nice ToDo app, which they say is based on GTD system. I've used it on my iPad and seemed to like it. Haven't tried it on mac yet.

quicksilver - seems to be an essential app for quick access to your apps

Serverskine - this lil' tool should store all your server login credentials. Have not used it yet. Have you?

Things - another ToDo app that I want to try.. do you have any exp with it?

TextExpander - typing shortcut utility app that can really save your time.. I def love it!

now your turn... what productivity apps do you use on your mac?

Instead of cinch I'd suggest Better Snap Tool.

For some reason the fastest standard tracking speed in OSX is too fucking slow for me. MouseZoom speeds that shit up.

P.S. My Doberman is licking his nuts.

Coda
omnifocus
concentrate
Wunderlist - Basically the same as things but better for what I need. Syncs with windows, iphone, ipad and mac. things doesn't have windows support and wunderlist is free. Only downside is it's uses Appcelerator Titanium so it's not native and it always causes OS X to fail to shut down cause OS X doesn't know how to close it or something, similar problems happen with java apps too.

Things, it syncs with your iPhone if you have one and is very easy to use. Just add stuff to your in tray and give it a completion date, you can also add tags, categories and recurring tasks.

Does anyone know if it's possible to sync Things with Google Calendar so it works on my droid? Maybe Things -> iCal -> Google Calendar or something?

Also, +1000 for Coda. Best web development app ever. Oh, also VMWare Fusion. My local dev environment is a debian distro (downloaded from Some VMware images) running in a VM with /var/www a shared folder on my local machine. Coda makes everything fucking awesome too.

Alfred > Quicksilver

SpaceSuit is a great way to organize Spaces if you use them a lot. It lets you give different backgrounds to different Spaces. Won't be useful with OS X Lion though since they're using Mission Control to organize windows instead.

Caffeine. Stop the screen from ever dimming or shutting down via an icon in the topbar.

+1 for Coda. Just started using Sublime 2 for coding and I like it so far (<3 you dchuk)

Oh, and ONE BOLDED +1 FOR WUNDERLIST
