Convert OOO impress presentation to AVI

Does anyone happen to know how to convert an Open Office Org Impress presentation to .AVI?

I can also save the presentation to .ppt first (PowerPoint).

I did download a couple of programs - but some require Powerpoint installed (I don't have it) and others just "encounter an unexpected problem." :repuke:

1. Effectmatrix has a free powerpoint to video converter.
Free PowerPoint to AVI - Free PowerPoint to MPG - Free PowerPoint to WMV - E.M. Free PowerPoint Video Converter
Warning: I have never tried it.
2. If you have screen capture software, run the presentation and record the screen,
after setting the slides to auto-advance. (This is what I have done in the past -
but I usually click and advance manually, so that I can add the required audio for each slide)
