Yo yo:

lerchmo's Arbi script sounds like it's getting great results. I was wondering though if anyone would be interested in developing a really really newbie guide to installing this on your server. I noticed alot of people who are pretty skilled in MySQL and such still have quite a few issues, so I was thinking a real step-by-step guide would not only help server newbs like me understand it 100% better, but also allow a few of the vets of server config avoid some of the pitfalls common with this script. Props to lerchmo for writing it, I want to start generating my own tittie arbi sites ASAP. Thanks!

gosh i think someone got walked thru this last night on the irc chat room - maybe someone has a transcript they'd share?

I really tried to make it apparent that I'm a total newb when it comes to installing this arbi script onto my server. I know I have to use mysql on my webhost, but how? Again, newbie, pretend you're tryin to describe it to a child. haha

If it won't take too terribly long i'll have to ask you to try and walk it through from step 1. try and make it seem like you got a brand new server, and wanted to install this script. k Go!

Why are you on this forum? Only for learning, never teaching? Selfish....tsk tsk tsk....

#1 This is an internet marketing forum, not a how to create a fucking database on a websever forum.

#2 Call me selfish, but sorry dude but NO ONE is going to hold your hand and do everything for you, I even gave you a fucking tutorial on how to do it. And the script Lerchmo provided is even free with tons of help in that thread.

#3 What the fuck have you brought to the table in your 26 posts, let me help you out - NOTHING.

#4 Go fuck yourself

Setting up a database is not that difficult. Use Google and do some basic reading on the stuff if you're too much of a dumbass to figure it out yourself.

If you have CPanel & trying to set up the split testing script:

1 - Click MySQL Databases.

2 - Type anything you want to name the database on the 'create database' input field.

3 - Now go to 'create user' and create your user name / password (anything you like)

4 - Go to 'Add Users To Your Databases' and select your new user & database from the dropdown menu, assign 'All Privileges' and click 'add user to database'

5 - Now click 'phpMyAdmin' and on the page that opened up select your new database from the drop down menu on the left.

6 - Look to the right and select 'import' form the tabs at the top.

7 - Find 'File to Import' and select 'Browse' and find the file 'generator.sql' on your PC that should have been unzipped as one of the files for the split testing script. Select that file and then press 'Go' at the bottom of the screen.

8 - Now repeat 6 & 7 except find the file 'slimstat.sql'

9 - Your database should be set up.
