I am willing to register a new company name in the State, and found none of the company in the state using this name.

But I found that moniker is the owner of the mycompanyDOTcom name
and some others owned the .net name using domain proxy hided their info.

Any one have suggestion what should I do now ?

a) choose other name > Much easier
b) Pay A lot and buy from Moniker > I don't have money $$$
c) Register the company name and sued them to get it back > lol
d) other Suggest

thx

What state? The laws vary depending on location. I don't know if your Option C will work because you might have to prove your company existed earlier than their domain registration date and that you were engaged in business activity. I'm sure there are other requirements. Your best option is probably Option A to select a different name. But perhaps you can partner with someone who has the money if you really want to buy from Moniker.

Many people will have tell me to have another name. But I really like this name.
although it is not a very good domain name , is 2 word domain. I am planning to have my company register in neveda with low tax. The domain is like registered in early 2002.

I read some article online mention that to trademark a company name or brand name to get it back. but i am not sure how's that works.

u really only have 2 choices. choose another name or pay the asking price from the people that already own the domain

i will suggest, before starting company, you contact to the domain owner, and not tell him you are going to start company, in this case he will ask more than actual price. you just tell me what is normal price he want to sale it. you can pay him and can start. dont worry about it. if still you want similar type of word. send me PM your word or domain name. i will suggest you better ideas.
