Just got an email from Racksapce:
Every time you create a new Snapshot or 'On Demand Image' of your Cloud Server, that image will now be stored in your Cloud Files account. You can move any existing images, on demand or scheduled, to Cloud Files with the click of a button. What's the benefit? Images that are stored in Cloud Files will persist even after the server they were created from is deleted. This allows you to create and save a 'gold' image without having to keep a single server in your account. Since Cloud Files has unlimited storage we have lifted the restrictions on the number of Snapshots you can store in your account. The only charges for these Snapshots are standard Cloud Files usage charges of $0.15/GB per month. Please note, this feature will launch first in our DFW datacenter and later this summer when Cloud Files is launched in our ORD datacenter. http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay...&utm_medium=June&utm_campaign=June_newlsetter
Please note, this feature is launching first in our DFW datacenter over the next couple of weeks and later this summer when Cloud Files is launched in our ORD datacenter.
