Summer, winter, holidays, hot weather, cold weather, blizzards and national emergencies all create trend patterns. The natural cause and effect factor. Summer comes people travel, they are hot, sunburned, drink more beer etc. Holiday's bring people online to buy and buy only. Cold weather people like to ski, hang by the fire and drink hot cocoa.
Prepare in advance to take advantage of these trends. We all know what a calendar is. Now go use it or place a reminder in your outlook 2 months ahead of time to start fine tuning what your offers will be to market during these trends. Perfect them because you only get one shot at Christmas or Mother's Day to make a killing with some unique and profitable offers.
Watch the news for disasters and things that will drive consumers to act a certain way. Summer brings hurriicanes. Make an affiliate deal with a lumber supply or hotel chain. I watch the weather like a hawk and keep up on storms and tornadoes across the US. I then target a Geo campaign for that area and pawn my emergency travel offers that I had a buddy create some cool landing pages just for this to promote a hotel pay per lead offer. Sure it was only $2 per lead but I was only paying .5 cents on the ad networks and I had a 80% conversion. A 2 day offer produced over 800 leads for a take home of $1500 plus and I feel like I'm doing my part by helping them connect with a nice and safe hotel to ride the storm out in. My best conversions are on the emergency campaigns I run because I am prepared to capitalize on trends. Man made and natural.
