So, in case you don't know, most credit card companies will charge you an extra 2.5% exchange rate when you make a US Dollar charge to a Canadian Dollar credit card.

I've been using a Royal Bank USD Gold card for ppc expenses, which has helped to cut down on this extra charge.

However, this card is a personal credit card, so I have to constantly be transferring money from my business account to my personal account to pay it off. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to keep business and personal separate.

My question is this, my fellow Canadians: do any of you know of any good USD business credit cards?

Does AMEX offer a US dollar card?

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat, haven't really looked around yet though. Luckily, where most of my spending is (with Adwords) I get charged in CAD.

When I load up Yahoo I make sure it's a decent amount.

Btw, not sure if you're doing this already but setup a USD checking account as well. I'm not sure what Royal Bank has but with TD my account costs 5 bucks a month and I get about a penny or so more on the exchange.

Ah yes, I've been meaning to look into opening a USD account. Good call.

As for the US dollar business charge card.. no luck so far.

Royal Bank, CIBC, and TD all have USD cards, but only for personal.. none for business clients. So annoying!

Stupid me; I thought I was just getting raped on the exchange rates. This puts things into a lot better perspective, and I just shot my bank manager an e-mail asking to be switched into a USD account. Let's assume I started earning just two or three months ago with affiliate marketing. Could I still become eligible for a Gold card? I'm using my Student Visa card at the moment, and the credit limit is just $5,000.

One of the networks that I'm working with isn't budging for weekly wires, so I could definitely use the higher credit limit. So what's the criteria for getting one of these babies? Also, which RBC credit card gives the most bang for the buck in terms of rewards?

Ok i been looking into this since im hitting 19 in like..2 months so i went all over the place to do some researches talking to bank managers and so on. From the infos that i've collected (this reffers to Great Vancouver only since thats where i live i ono about other places)

CIBC offers a USD Credit card, so u dont get killed on the exchange rate. However theres no rewards on that. And there is $35 annual fee.

RBC also have a USD card and you earn 1 RBC rewards point for every $1 USD spent. And the Annual Fee is $65 and additional $30 USD. And it comes with a bunch of other shit, but im not too positive about the monthly limits.

Now for the Good stuff (atleast i consider it good)

BMO offers some very good USD card for bussines people. You can get one of these forms from their branches and go directly to the forms since thats where most of the infos are. You can apply for a US Dollar Mosaik Master Card (fees and charges are in US Dollars) And you choose your rewards plan which is either Air Miles or Cash Back. Cash back comes in 1% for an annual fee of $49, or 0.5% for no annual fees. and u get a bunch of other features and shit.

Im still trying to figure out which one to get. Either BMO or RBC.

Any other goodies please suggest it here, i didnt get into AMEX or others yet..
