Code:
http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=www.agwilliamspainting.com&fr=sfp&bwm=i
It shows 51 total inlinks (backlinks?) and about half of them are from the site itself. Furthermore a bunch of the links are very strange like
Code:
http://www.agwilliamspainting.com/House_Painters.asp
that link simply takes you to the home page and yet its indexed and counts as a backlink. Wth is going on?

Furthermore this site has like 15 backlinks from Yellowpages, how does that work? Does google count only one or does the site get juice from all of them?

Site Explorer - Search Results

On the site explorer results page, there's a drop down. select "except from this domain" and it will leave out all internal "backlinks".

Those internal ones don't really mean anything.

As for multiple links from the same domain, for the most part, the value quickly diminishes.

I don't see anything strange about those links. As dchuk explained some
are internal links. Maybe he deleted a post and has the url redirecting to
his homepage to avoid visitors getting a 404 not found.

I also agree with dchuk regarding the multiple links. I have some myself,
but their effectiveness is almost impossible to measure.

Something to keep in mind, Google does NOT use yahoo when counting links
and Yahoo is NOT the web's official link counter.

Internal links don't mean anything? I thought that a good internal linking structure is good for SEO, am I wrong?
