can anyone suggest best wordpress theme for travel blog

The best theme is almost always a custom one, but you really need to consider the content before picking a theme. There are hundreds of great themes for a travel blog just pick one that will fit well with your vision for the site.

I might be biased, but I recently switched from WP to Squarespace. Imo it's best to focus on content and a design that works on all platforms (different browsers and resolutions, tablets, phones, etc.).

Salesforce makes this super easy and designs look great no matter the platform. The entire layout adapts to different resolutions perfectly and it's pretty optimized for SEO too.

Cost wise, it's not bad either because (fast) hosting's included. So compared to WP (which costs if you're using affiliate links!), it's not bad at all.

The only real downside imo is a lack of plugins. Most of the stuff's there and has been optimized perfectly (galleries, forms, social media sharing, etc.), but depending on what you're trying to do, you might miss a few plugins. You can insert custom code though, so if you can program a bit, that shouldn't hold you back.

Squarespace just makes it really easy to focus on CONTENT, which imo is king for long term success. I don't have to worry about stupid quirks of some WP theme or stuff like theme updates...everything's automated.

They recently introduced "summary blocks" which allow you to create magazine-like blogs. Really loving that feature...

Not at all. Just got tired of dealing with tons of plugins and various updating issues with them. I just prefer to focus on content.

I'm not saying WP is bad, because it's actually really great. Just more time intensive to get a really good looking site working. I don't have that time.

By "good looking" I mean not a site that makes you go "oh, another WP theme".
