Buying & Releasing domains

I've read several times that registrars can pick up a domain , test its traffic, and return it without being charged (within 5 days?) if the traffic is no good
- My question is how the hell can I do this? Must I be a registrar to do this?

You don't have to be a registrar to take part in domain kiting or "tasting". There is a company out there, pool dot com that let's you get in on the fun for like 10 cents per domain.

Interesting concept that seems to make a tidy profit for some, but I just think you have to go big, really big in order to take full advantage of it.

It would be cool to see what your results are if you take the plunge.
